Head of the Shahara Center for Strategic Studies, scholar Hamoud Abdullah al-Ahnoumi, stated that the Yemeni people’s movement toward large-scale marches constitutes a message of dignity and awareness, translating religious duty into comprehensive practical action.
Speaking to Almasirah TV, he stressed that any insult to the Holy Quran targets the entire Islamic nation, affirming that Yemenis will firmly confront ongoing US and Zionist attempts to undermine Islamic sanctities and break the will of the Ummah.
Al-Ahnoumi emphasized that public mobilization represents a clear declaration rejecting insults to the Quran and forms part of a broader war targeting the nation culturally, intellectually, and politically. He highlighted the role of scholars and academic elites in strengthening intellectual resistance, noting that universities, students, and popular forces have actively filled public squares in response to the leadership’s directives. He added that responsibility goes beyond statements to include concrete action, such as economic, political, and cultural boycott of those who insult the Quran or support Western hegemonic projects, linking these marches to the wider struggle in defense of Palestine and Islamic holy sites in Al-Quds.
In a related context, Head of the Shams Center for Strategic Studies, Mohammed al-Sheikh, affirmed that the US continues to provide political cover for those who insult Islamic sanctities under “selective freedom,” serving Zionist objectives and deliberately targeting the Holy Quran and Al-Aqsa Mosque. He noted that US policies reflect clear double standards regarding justice and freedom, particularly amid the promotion of the “Abrahamic religion.”
Al-Sheikh asserted that while Washington views the Arab world as incapable of protecting sanctities, real forces on the ground—among them Ansarullah, Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the Islamic Republic of Iran—have proven their ability to defend holy sites beyond US and Zionist expectations. He described US–Zionist rhetoric as racist and inciteful, stressing that confronting it requires awareness and unity around Islamic sanctities as an uncompromising red line.
Meanwhile, former Lebanese MP Nazih Mansour said insults against the Holy Quran are part of a global conspiracy aimed at distorting Islam and weakening its universal values, particularly among Muslim youth. He explained that these attacks are ideological and political in nature, designed to empty religion of its substance and exploit it for fabricated civilizational agendas. Mansour warned that Western silence-breaking actions—such as burning copies of the Quran or targeting Islamic symbols—seek to undermine genuine Islamic revival, cautioning that silence by Muslim nations encourages further violations.
For his part, Yemeni writer and political analyst Fahmi al-Yousfi described the insults to the Quran as a declaration of comprehensive confrontation by the US and global Zionism. He said the wide-scale marches expected across free Yemeni provinces send a message not only regionally but also to Muslims in the US and Europe, exposing the true orientation of US policy aligned with the Zionist imperial project.
Al-Yousfi linked these campaigns to the so-called “Abrahamic Project,” asserting that insulting the Quran has become a political tool in Western electoral contests to secure Zionist lobby support. He held Arab and Islamic normalization regimes—foremost the Saudi regime—responsible for silence and complicity, describing it as direct participation in the offense against the Quran and Muslim sentiments.
Observers agree that Yemen’s popular stance, guided by the call of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, places Sana’a at the forefront of confronting insults to Islamic sanctities, underscoring a broader cultural and ideological resistance against US–Zionist aggression and reaffirming the Quran as an inviolable constitution for the Islamic nation.
