Speaking on Almasirah’s Nawafidh program, Rouqa said explosions continued throughout the night in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalia, where Israeli enemy forces are carrying out new expansion and control operations. She noted a clear advance by Israeli armored vehicles and artillery into several areas of the camp, including Al-Hoja, Zayed Roundabout, the Trans area, Al-Nassar, and surrounding neighborhoods.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces have placed yellow concrete blocks in multiple locations, a move seen as a clear indication of plans to seize additional areas of the camp as part of the so-called “yellow line.” This line, established by the Israeli enemy along Gaza’s eastern border from south to north, has already resulted in the seizure of large swathes of land.
Rouqa said the Israeli enemy has intensified efforts in recent weeks to expand this zone, having already appropriated an estimated 50 percent of Gaza’s territory, including areas east of Gaza City and large tracts in the south, particularly in Khan Younis.
She added that while the past three days have seen unprecedented firepower, the most alarming development is the direct advance of Israeli artillery and armored units toward the heart of Jabalia camp. Control is being imposed through heavy shelling, constant drone activity over northern Gaza, intense sniper fire, and sustained shooting from military vehicles, resulting in direct injuries among civilians.
In a related development, Rouqa reported that the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City was subjected to heavy fire and systematic demolition of remaining residential units within the “yellow line,” leading to the martyrdom of three civilians, including a woman, due to indiscriminate Israeli fire along the eastern border.
On the humanitarian front, she stressed that conditions in Gaza remain catastrophic, with no tangible improvement for more than two months since the announced ceasefire. Suffering continues to deepen amid winter weather, ongoing destruction from more than 700 days of Israeli aggression, and repeated violations of ceasefire commitments.
She noted that Gaza is witnessing repeated building collapses due to structural damage caused by the aggression, while the Israeli enemy continues to tighten its blockade by controlling humanitarian aid, restricting quantities allowed into the Strip, and preventing the entry of heavy equipment needed by civil defense teams.
Rouqa concluded that the situation in Gaza is extremely dangerous militarily and humanitarianly, with ongoing Israeli violations yielding nothing but further crimes—met by continued resilience and determination to survive among the Palestinian people.
Northern Gaza, particularly Jabalia refugee camp, has been a focal point of Israeli military operations amid a broader campaign to impose new facts on the ground through land seizure, buffer zones, and population pressure. Human rights groups warn that the expansion of the so-called “yellow line,” combined with sustained bombardment and restrictions on aid, is accelerating humanitarian collapse and mass displacement, while international efforts have failed to halt the Israeli enemy’s ongoing violations.
