News – Middle East: A Palestinian political and human rights activist said the Palestinian people continue to show resilience despite the ongoing genocide carried out by the Israeli enemy, praising Yemen’s sustained support for Palestine since the start of the aggression.

In remarks to Al-Masirah TV, activist Fouad Bakr stressed that the Israeli enemy’s campaign against Gaza aims to force displacement and sever Palestinians from the social base supporting the resistance. He noted that these objectives have failed despite more than two years of war.

Bakr said the humanitarian suffering in Gaza constitutes genocide under the Genocide Convention, pointing to the case brought by South Africa before the International Court of Justice, with further hearings scheduled for January. He added that the Israeli enemy has not honored ceasefire commitments and continues to impose domination and control over the region.

He underlined that displacement, land seizure, and regional control remain the core goals of the Israeli enemy, while emphasizing the role of Palestinian communities abroad in mobilizing international pressure, despite deep international alignment with the Zionist entity.

Bakr also highlighted the legal track, expressing cautious hope in the International Criminal Court after it refused to separate crimes committed before and after October 7, treating them as part of a continuous pattern of violations.

He concluded by affirming that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, is the central pillar in confronting Israeli enemy plans, calling for sustained popular, political, and legal support to protect civilians and the Palestinian resistance.

The Israeli enemy continues to impose a tight siege on the Gaza Strip, restricting access to medical care and essential supplies amid severe shortages of food, fuel, and humanitarian aid. The situation has worsened following harsh weather conditions and repeated crises, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian conditions facing more than two million Palestinians.
