News - Yemen: An African migrant was killed on Wednesday by fire from the Saudi enemy in Yemen’s northern province of Sa'adah, hours after renewed Saudi attacks targeted residential areas in the governorate using artillery and machine guns.

Almasirah’s correspondent in Sa'adah reported that the migrant was shot dead opposite the Al Thabit area in the border district of Qataber. 

The killing followed Saudi shelling on Tuesday, when villages in the same area were targeted with artillery and heavy machine-gun fire.

Earlier this week, two African migrants were wounded by Saudi enemy fire in the vicinity of Al Thabit, in a continuation of repeated cross-border attacks on civilian-populated areas.

The incident comes amid ongoing Saudi violations, which local officials describe as a clear breach of Yemen’s sovereignty and a sustained military escalation deliberately targeting civilians and their property in Saada, in the absence of effective international accountability.

Sa'adah province has for years borne the brunt of repeated cross-border attacks by the Saudi enemy, including artillery shelling and small-arms fire directed at border districts and civilian communities. 

These assaults have claimed the lives of Yemeni civilians and African migrants alike, destroyed homes and farmland, and deepened the humanitarian toll in the region. Yemeni authorities view the continued targeting of civilians and migrants as part of a broader pattern of aggression and systematic violations of international humanitarian law, carried out amid persistent international silence and failure to hold perpetrators accountable.
