Serious Escalation Among Aggression Proxies After Saudi Airstrikes on Aden and Al-Dhalea, Flight of Al-Zubaidi

News - Yemen: A serious escalation has unfolded in the occupied southern provinces, as Saudi aggression warplanes carried out intensive airstrikes at dawn on Wednesday targeting Aden and Al-Dhalea, amid reports that traitor Aidarous Al-Zubaidi has fled to an unknown destination.

The Saudi-led aggression announced early Wednesday that it had conducted air raids on Al-Hadid and Al-Sulyan camps belonging to the militia of the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC), which is affiliated with the Emirati occupation, in Al-Dhalea province. The strikes signal a clear shift in internal disputes among the tools of aggression toward direct military confrontation.

In a statement, the coalition said the airstrikes followed intelligence information indicating that Al-Zubaidi had mobilized large forces, including armored vehicles, combat vehicles, heavy and light weapons, and ammunition, toward Al-Dhalea. This reportedly came after the delay of the Yemenia Airways flight, which had been scheduled to transport him to Saudi Arabia.

According to the statement, the flight later departed without Al-Zubaidi, who reportedly fled to an unknown location after distributing weapons and ammunition inside Aden under the supervision of traitors Moamen Al-Saqqaf and Mukhtar Al-Nubi, in preparation for triggering security chaos and widespread unrest in the city.

The statement added that these developments prompted the new Saudi-backed agent Abdulrahman Al-Muharrami to assume responsibility for imposing security and preventing clashes inside Aden, in an attempt to contain an anticipated security explosion resulting from infighting among aggression factions.

In a related development, the Saudi aggression’s spokesperson urged residents of Aden and Al-Dhalea to avoid military camps and gatherings of military vehicles under the pretext of ensuring their safety, a warning that reflects intentions for further military escalation that could affect populated areas.

Security sources revealed that militias of the so-called STC have carried out organized looting of weapons from several military camps and sovereign facilities in Aden. The most prominent looted sites included Al-Qasr Al-Mudawwar camp in Al-Tawahi district, led by mercenary Awsan Al-Anshali, Badr camp led by mercenary Ahmed Hassan Al-Marhabi, as well as the mercenary government headquarters at Al-Maashiq Palace.

The sources confirmed that Abu Dhabi–backed militias seized all weapons from these sites and transferred them to unknown locations, seeking to disperse them rather than store them in one place, out of fear of Saudi airstrikes. This, they said, reflects a state of panic and deepening division within the ranks of the so-called STC.

In a significant political development, traitor Rashad Al-Alimi announced from Riyadh the removal of Aidarous Al-Zubaidi from the membership of the so-called Presidential Council and referred him to the public prosecutor on charges of high treason, underscoring the worsening rifts within the mercenary authority and the collapse of what remains of its cohesion.

Al-Alimi accused Al-Zubaidi of committing acts of high treason, harming military, political, and economic centers, forming armed gangs, carrying out killings of officers and soldiers, and exploiting the just southern cause while committing grave violations against civilians.

He further charged Al-Zubaidi with violating so-called laws, undermining the sovereignty and independence of the country, adopting the methods of armed gangs, and dragging the occupied southern provinces into continuous confrontations with no regard for lives or the interests of citizens.

The occupied southern provinces have long witnessed rivalry and power struggles among factions backed by the Saudi and Emirati components of the aggression coalition. These tensions have repeatedly erupted into armed clashes, reflecting deep divisions over influence, resources, and control, and highlighting the fragility of the mercenary authorities imposed by the foreign occupation.
